2. Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Scholarships for International Students

Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung offers Scholarships to International students for Master\’s and Ph.D. studies in Germany in any subject except Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, and Medicine. 

Priority is given to women, scholars of non-academic and migrant backgrounds, the socially needy, and people with disabilities, with achievement and dedication.

Recipient benefit

• The scholarship is in the form of a living grant, for the time of the standard study program period. Tuition fees are not provided. 
• The scholarship also includes a wide range of support for the scholars,  consisting of political education events and summer schools, workshops conducted both domestically as well as abroad, symposia and educational trips, etc. 

Eligibility Criteria 

• The grants are only offered to foreign Master\’s and Ph.D. students who are temporarily dwelling in Germany for academic purposes. 
• German language proficiency.
• Masters or Ph.D. students must be enrolled at a university in Germany.

3. DAAD Helmut-Schmidt Masters Scholarships 

These Masters Scholarships for Public Policy and Good Governance Program are offered to international students from developing countries for Master\’s studies at institutions in Germany. 

The scholarships are offered in courses that are of great relevance for the political, social, and economic growth of the home country of the students.

• DAAD pays a monthly scholarship rate of €931.

• Applicants must have already gained practical knowledge relevant to the program (professional experience, internships, political/social agreement).
• Before their study program, all scholarship recipients will also receive 6- months of a German language course. Participation is compulsory.

 

4. The Deutschlandstipendium at German Universities

The Deutschlandstipendium offers Scholarships to International students for bachelor\’s and master\’s degrees institutions in Germany. 

It is the largest partnership scholarship program in Germany. 

Recipient benefits

• The scholars are awarded €300 per month, €150 is supplied by private sponsors, and €150 by the Federal Government. 

Eligibility Criteria 

• Applicants must show academic excellence.
• The applicants must show special personal achievements, such as overcoming challenges or obstacles in their social or family background.
• The applicant’s social and family background is also taken into account.
•  Both enrolled students and starting students are eligible for the scholarship.

 

5. Kofi Annan MBA Scholarships 

Kofi Annan Fellowship is a fellowship grant for International students from developing nations for a two-year Master’s in Management (MIM) or a one-year full-time MBA education at the European School of Management and Technology in Berlin, Germany.

Recipient benefits

• Scholars will receive a full tuition scholarship from ESMT, €25,000 for MIM students, and €43,500 for MBA students.

The DRD offers scholarships for International students from Sub-Saharan African countries for Masters and Ph.D. studies.

The awards are given at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa, and Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany. 

The scholarships are aimed at residents of Sub-saharan African countries.

Recipient benefit

• Tuition fees.Monthly allowances of €650 for Master\’s students.
• €900 for Ph.D. applicants. 
• Registration costs.

• Applicants should be from Sub-Saharan African countries.

7. Heinrich Böll Foundation Scholarships in Germany

Heinrich Boll Foundation Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship for international students for master\’s and Ph.D. studies in Germany. 

Recipient benefits

• The Foundation awards full scholarships to students which cover the entire period of the program.

Eligibility Criteria

• The English language is required. 
• All world countries are eligible. 
• Applicants must have a very academic record from a good institution.

9. Deutsches Museum Scholar in Residence Program

Deutsches Museum Scholar in Residence Program is a fully funded scholarship for international students for studies in Germany. 

This scholarship is offered for postdoctoral or pre-doctoral analysis.

Recipient benefits

• Pre-doctoral award: €15,000 for a full year. 
• Post-doctoral award: €30,000 for a full year. 

Eligibility Criteria

• Proficiency in German and English language.

10. Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Scholarship

Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship for international students for master\’s and Ph.D. studies in institutions in Germany. 

This is to actively encourage intercultural dialogues and the formation of international networks. 

Recipient benefit

• Graduates receive a monthly stipend of €850.
• PhD-students receive a monthly award of €1,200.
• The scholarship funds medical insurance up to the amount of €120 per month.
• The scholarship offers a family stipend of €276, however, the family must live together. 
• Fees up to the sum of €1,500 resulting from courses at the university that are directly related to studies can be refunded.
